The power... of renovation!

Installing panelling

1 Installing MDF panelling panels is much faster and easier than installing traditional panelling, which the MDF emulates, that require plank by plank installation. Here is how to proceed.

2 The baseboard

Remove the old baseboard to replace it with a baseboard designed specifically for panelling (grooved top). Use a hammer or a nailing gun to secure it in place.

Insert the panelling panels in the groove of the baseboard. With a level, check that they are perfectly straight. Then, secure the panelling on the wall using a few finishing nails.

4 Finishing touch

To cover small surfaces, like the corners of a room, measure the dimensions of the area to cover. Cut the panelling panel with a sawbench. Secure it like the other panels. Finish the installation by hiding the top of the panels under a picture rail designed for panelling (grooved on the bottom).
