BMR MATCO INAURURATES ITS NEW FACILITIES IN BELOEIL
1.8-million dollar investment
Boucherville, May 5, 2017 – Groupe BMR was very proud to inaugurate last night the new facilities of its BMR Matco store in Beloeil, following an investment of 1.8-million dollars to expand the warehouse and build a shelter for building materials.
Now connected to the store, the new warehouse not only makes operations easier for faster customer service, it also allows the company to keep a wider line of building materials in inventory to better serve local contractors and customers. Other improvements were made to the store, including the addition of a BBQ Québec zone, a decoration service, an estimation service for both big and small projects, a boom truck delivery service, as well as a completely new layout for some departments for an optimal “ready for business” approach.
“We had a specific goal in mind when we started the project: improving customer experience in our store. We have a very beautiful store in Beloeil – the latest BMR ads were actually shot in our store – but we wanted to optimize the store layout to better serve our customers. This investment in the Beloeil store is part of a wider plan to improve customer service and store layout throughout Groupe BMR’s corporate stores”, said Martin Lecomte, Vice-President Retail for Groupe BMR.
Joined by the Mayor of Beloeil, Diane Lavoie, the Borduas Member of Parliament, Simon Jolin-Barrette, the Political Attaché of the Beloeil-Chambly Member of Parliament, Francine Guay, and several customers and employees, the Vice-President Retail thanked Constructions Bâtiments Québec, a family-owned company from Saint-Mathieu-de-Beloeil and BMR’s partner in this project, for the work performed. “It was important for us to find a local partner for the project. Groupe BMR is a Québec-owned company that is very involved in the communities where our 300 stores are present. We want to raise awareness on the importance of buying locally so it was a natural choice for us to choose a local partner!”, added Mr. Lecomte.
To celebrate the inauguration, the store will hold a great sale from 6 to 9 p.m. on Monday, May 8.
